Hummus is an oriental dish mainly consisting of chickpeas. Chickpeas are very healthy as they contain a great amount of protein (around 18g / 100g), iron and vitamin B2, 5 & 6.
Usually Hummus is just made with oil and not yoghurt. This makes Hummus really fatty and heavy, so I like to replace it by yoghurt as the tahini already contains a lot of oil!
Ingredients:
400 g Cooked Chickpeas
125 g Yoghurt
1 clove of Garlic
3 tbsp. Tahini
Juice from a 1/2 Lemon
Salt, Pepper, Paprika powder
Add all the ingredients into a blender and blend until a creamy consistency is achieved.
The Hummus can be served with fresh vegetables as a dip or as a side dish.
